Linux & Computer Stuff

Yeah thats right, I'm a nerd :-) I love computers, most of the time mine is open with all of its guts hanging out just for the fun of it. I dual boot with Windows XP Pro and Linux (many distos). The windows is my main OS because I cannot play games and whatnot in Linux, plus Windows is just that much easier to do things in. But I do enjoy playing with things in Linux and messing around with it.

I use Slackware 9.1, one of the greatest distrobutions of all time, I seriously recommend this disto. It is a lot better than the bloated ones like Mandrake. I would also recommend Peanut Linux 9.5, it is a semi decent minimalistic disto. But the only problem is the installers, there are almost no Peanut Linux RPM's so you will mostly have to compile from source. If you want a basic system and don't intend on adding much, then Peanut is fine.

Fedora Core 1 is also a really good distribution. It is free Red Hat, but you get not phone support. Instead go over to LinuxQuestions.org and ask there! They are the best site for any Linux related things and I highly recommend going there.
